Higher Income Taxes 

• Introduced a bill to raise the personal income tax from 3.9 percent to 4.6 percent

Higher Sales Tax on Services

• Voted for a 2% sales tax on services.

Higher Taxes on Small Businesses

• Voted against reducing the Single Business Tax by 0.1 percent.
• Voted against reducing the Single Business Tax from 1.9% to 1.84%.
•  Voted against reducing the Single Business Tax alternative rate for small businesses from 2% to 1.7%.
• Voted against reducing the Single Business Tax alternative rate for small businesses from 2% to 1%.

Higher Taxes on Cigarettes

• Voted to raise the cigarette tax by 75 cents per pack.
